Eric Tucker commission

We are privileged to have been asked by the Tucker family to mount and frame many of Eric Tucker originals for exhibition and sale. Eric's brother, Tony, approached us in 2019 prior to the inaugural exhibition of Eric's work at the Warrington Museum, attended by many luminaries including a representative from the New York Times no less! We framed around 30 pieces for this exhibition to conservation standard using conservation grade materials and UV protective glass.
Many Warrington residents will have visited Eric's house in 2018 for the open exhibition prior to the event at the museum exhibition which told the wonderful story of Eric Tucker's life as an artist in the town and the pubs in and around Manchester. It also faithfully recreated his home studio. He has gained a posthumous reputation for his colourful and often surreal characterisations but his watercolour landscapes are equally beautiful. Often painted on the most unusual of media...basically whatever was to hand. Many of his preparatory sketches were on the reverse of the finished artwork or on the inside of a cornflakes packet! We handed back many unseen images to the family that had been sealed inside Eric's original frames!
The full story of Eric's life as an artist is now increasingly well documented as his work has become much sought after. Eric's nephew, Joe, has written and published a biography of Eric's life which is available at https://www.erictucker.co.uk/
